The purpose of this organization is to increase the popularity of hiring peer specialists. As we add new
members we will be able to grow and expand in new and exciting ways. We also want to have fun while we are together and
working on projects. By developing relationships and friendships, the organization will become even stronger.

by educating the public and expanding our reach.
We believe peer specialists offer an often untapped resourse to the mental
health system. As a national organization, we strive to make peer specialists an important component in mental health treatment.
We also advocate for better working conditions, compensation and the adoption of recovery practices.
